Would you please be so kind to describe in short or provide a link as to how delayed and lost IM's are being addressed? I'm aware of synchronised conversation (server side conversation history), but what else is there?
The Lync server will now handle conversation history by talking to Exchange via EWS. Currently it is the responsiblity of the client to push conversation history.
Thank you for your reply, I was thinking what else apart from conversation history is new (esp. for users without Exchange 2013) and I think I found it:
"Resolving the long delay sending IM’s to mobile users Incoming IM’s being lost – This will be addressed by applying the “Auto Accept” logic used by the desktop clients to accept IM’s on the best available endpoint"
All great changes, and very much overdue! Skype4B will still be tightly intergrated with Exchange. Id love to see some native contacts management and even voicemail so Skype4B can run independant of Exchange. Wishful thinking id say 🙂
