Microsoft Teams now has a supported way to upload custom background images. Previously I blogged about a workaround here, but here’s how you do it the new supported way directly in the app…
While in a meeting select the following:
Select ‘Add new’:
Navigate and select your image:
Navigate to the bottom of the settings pane and select the added image. Then apply (or preview first if you desire):
And you’re done!
Now…. How would we delete a custom background? (Other then using the “unsupported” method)
And that is a very good question 🙂 I couldnt see a way to do it via the UI, so back to unsupported on that one for now I guess!
We’ve had quite a few questions about the ability to delete custom background as well, our research concluded the same, this has to be deleted from the app data folder. One for UserVoice!
Yes indeed it is. Should be synchronised between clients while we are at it! 🙂
how do i do the background it not there
Do you mean that the option to use a background is not there? – Your admin has possibility disabled. Or, can you not add a custom background?
